Following the momentum of a historic 10-3 season, Old Dominion Football continues to reload for 2026 with the reported additions of two high-impact transfers: offensive lineman Brayden Walker and wide receiver Kendall Harris. Signed yesterday, January 7, these two additions signal a clear message from Coach Ricky Rahne: the Monarchs are intent on staying at the top of the Sun Belt.
Brayden Walker: Bringing a Virginia Native Home
A 6-foot-2, 297-pound interior offensive lineman, Brayden Walker returns to his home state after a successful stint at Elon.
The Monarchs’ receiving corps just got more dangerous with the addition of Mercer transfer Kendall Harris. A Concord, North Carolina native (Cox Mill HS), Harris stands 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds and is coming off a breakout 2025 campaign where he tallied 37 receptions for 478 yards and three touchdowns.
Harris is no stranger to the big stage; he famously recorded a spectacular one-handed 31-yard touchdown reception against Alabama in 2024.
While the transfer portal has seen some key Monarchs depart for Power 4 programs, the signings of Walker and Harris prove that ODU remains a top destination for proven producers. By securing a big in state talent on the line and a highlight-reel playmaker on the outside, Rahne and his staff are effectively bridging the gap for 2026. These moves underscore a bright future for the program as they look to build on their first 10-win season in nearly a decade.
